Recensione di Vic Harradine (Canada)

Direttamente dal Canada (www.winecurrent.com) ecco la recensione dei nostri vini da parte di Vic Harradine:

***** drink or cellar
Corte Fornaledo Recioto della Valpolicella ‘Classico’ 2009
DOC Recioto della Valpolicella, Italy $32.95 500 mL 14.5% alcohol
If you’ve a sweet tooth, this can’t be missed. From air-dried, red grapes—40% Corvina Veronese, 40% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella and 5% ‘others’—this fabulous dessert wine is a stunning partner to chocolate desserts. Aromas of dark red cherry dipped in dark chocolate and wisps of cassis presage a sweet river of cherry and black currant mingling with an incredible coating of tiramisu on the palate then infusing the lingering, delectable finish. (Vic Harradine)

Corte Fornaledo Valpolicella ‘Classico Superiore’ 2009
DOC Valpolicella, Italy $22.95 13.5% alcohol
Oodles of ripe fruit balanced with good moderating acidity follow a delightful nose of earthy tones, dark berry fruit and spiced black plum. A balanced, beautiful river of red and black cherry interlaced with red and black currant bathe the palate infusing the lengthy dry, fruit-filled finish. It’s medium bodied with good mouth feel and an aftertaste of dark berry and juicy black cherry. Pour alongside beef and cheese manicotti. (Vic Harradine)

**** drink or cellar
Corte Fornaledo Amarone della Valpolicella ‘Classico’ 2009
DOC Amarone della Valpolicella, Italy $54.95 16.0% alcohol
This is deep-purple hued and bursting with heady aromas—black licorice, dried berry fruit and spice cake stream from the glass. Ripe, black Bing cherry and notions of red currant interweave with raisined berry fruit on the palate with medium weight and generous texture. It finishes lengthy and balanced with good fruit, depth and a lip-smacking aftertaste. It’s a great pairing with shards of Parmigiano Reggiano. (Vic Harradine)
